After a long journey spanning 20 years (with many bumps, twists and turns along the way), Rubyn and Tamati’s aspirations to have a family were realised with the birth of their daughter Matariki in Mexico. Although it often felt like a lonely and daunting journey, the team in Mexico and New Zealand were supportive and hard working. In hindsight, conferences like Growing Families could have helped alleviate much of the stress for this couple in navigating international surrogacy. Rubyn wishes others same joy and happiness he and Tamati have had as new parents. At the event Rubyn will discuss the ups and downs and what to expect.
